1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve performance, and provide information to website owners. UnitClear also uses browser localStorage — a similar technology that stores data locally in your browser without an expiration date unless cleared.

2. Cookies We Use

UnitClear uses only essential cookies and localStorage entries necessary for the platform to function. We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.

2.1 Session Cookies (Supabase Auth)

When you sign in, Supabase sets secure, HTTP-only session cookies to authenticate your requests and maintain your login state. These cookies are strictly necessary — without them the service cannot function. They expire when your session ends or after a configured timeout.

2.2 localStorage — Cookie Consent

We store a key (unitclear-cookie-consent) in your browser's localStorage to remember that you have acknowledged our cookie notice. This entry has no expiration date and is never sent to our servers.

2.3 localStorage — Sandbox Cooldown

When you use the live sandbox, we store a cooldown timer (sandbox_resetting_until) in localStorage to manage sandbox reset state. This entry is temporary and is cleared automatically after the sandbox session.

2.4 No Third-Party Tracking

UnitClear does not embed third-party advertising networks, social media pixels, or behavioral analytics scripts. No data is shared with ad networks or data brokers.

3. How to Control Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View cookies stored for a specific site
  • Delete individual cookies or all cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites or all sites
  • Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is set

To clear localStorage in most browsers: open Developer Tools (F12) → Application tab → Local Storage → right-click and clear.

Note: Blocking essential session cookies will prevent you from logging in to UnitClear.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
